3rd Annual Arizona Balloon Classic Tonight in Gilbert
The Arizona Balloon Classic began in 2011 and this years event is expected to have 20 different balloons. The event takes place at and also feature fireworks (Saturday only), family fun zone, live music, and over 50 retail/food vendors.
Balloon flights begin in the early morning and continue throughout the day with a incredible tethered flights at night where the Gilbert sky glows with hot air balloons. You’ll want to make sure you bring your camera!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14
7:00 am – Gates Open for the 2013 Arizona Balloon Classic
7:00 am – 9:00 pm The Family Fun Zone, Food Court & Holiday Marketplace open
8:00 am – 10:00 am Hot Air Balloon Tethered Rides
Fun Flights ~ hot air balloon rides
8:00 am – 8:20 am 1st WAVE: “Hare & Hound” race launch competitive balloons ~ launch/landing areas determined by weather
8:20 am – 8:30 am 2nd WAVE: “Hare & Hound” race launch competitive balloons ~ launch/landing areas determined by weather
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Fun Flights ~ hot air balloon rides
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Hot Air Balloon Tethered Rides
7:30 pm – 8:30 pm “Desert Glow” – Hot Air Balloons illuminate the skies
8:45 pm – Fireworks Spectacular presented by Navy Federal Credit Union
